Please help me with my internet issues.

I've been having major internet issues for the past month as my router is the furthest point away from my PC and I've been trying to do anything to fix it. So far I've
Gotten a range extender which only boosted it to 20mbps.
Fixed my loose WIFI antenna which helped it actually connect to the range extender.
and updated all the drivers I possibly could find as well as tried an ethernet cable.
I've been looking at some WIFI cards for "Built in WIFI" and would like to ask if that would help or if there's anything else I could do just to make it to the point it doesn't take HOURS to download something.

You say that you tried an ethernet cable. If this didn't significantly increase your speed, you need to be checking the speed of your connection from your router to the isp. In short, you are not going to get any connection faster than a decent ethernet cable. You do share your connection with other devices and if someone is streaming 4k/8k video, that may have significant impact.

Powerline ethernet adapters. They make several different versions, but this is what I had to use in my apartment due to poor Wi-Fi reception. You put it into an outlet (not a power strip) next to the router then plug an ethernet cable from the router into the extender. You then take the other one and put it at the computer into a wall outlet and then plug the ethernet cable from the PC into it. There is a pairing action you have to do with the extenders but it is fairly simple. What this does is convert your homes electrical wiring into a network. That said if this works for you you can add multiple end points to anywhere in the home you may need a hard wired connection.

Can you run a Ethernet cable along the house, or wifi is your only option?
