I want to upgrade a prebuild and need advice on swapping/finding the gpu.

I own the ASUS ROG G20 prebuilt pc which has a gtx 750 gpu and a cpu of intel core i7 -4790. I was considering replacing my gpu due to my cpu being already decent enough. however im not sure exactly what gpu to swap it with and how to manually complete it. I was considering getting the gtx 960 but would like more insight from people that are more expertise.

The GTX 960 would be a step up but you can actually do better for the same money in 2026, used cards have come down a lot and there's no reason to buy something that old.
The bigger concern with the ROG G20 is the form factor. It's a compact small form factor case which means you're limited to low profile or short GPUs, and the PSU is likely proprietary and low wattage. If you're stuck with low profile, an RX 6400 or GTX 1650 low profile are your realistic options and both destroy the 960. If the case fits a standard card and the PSU has enough headroom, a used RX 6600 is a genuinely nice upgrade for that i7-4790. Worth checking https://best-gpu.com to compare value scores and see what fit your budget.

You need to look at the PSU and what it can handle. That 4790 will pair with 900, 1000 and 2000 series cards pretty well. You just need to see if you psu can handle it and how much you want to spend to upgrade.

Ill have a look at what a PSU is now, thanks boss

A PSU is what supplies power to all the parts in your PC

So my goal is to find how much watts are going in my pc and are able to be handled for the potential stronger gpu, so opening the case right

Yeah. There should be a sticker on the PSU that tells you how many watts it has.

I've opened the case but can't seem to find any psu sticker, I see the gpu, fans and that's what I can see, the only sticker is about thr disk drive, capacity.
