so what i wanna do is build a pc, and what better to do than to build it out of my xbox? ive asked around and ai says that its possible if you swap out the motherboard (idk bout the cpu tho), but idk bout the ram. seems like ram on consoles works differently compared to pcs. any suggestions or ideas?

No. Xbox parts are not compatible with PC parts. You could use the case with some heavy modifications but it would be very restrictive.

is it because of how the pieces themselves are built or smth?

Simply put it's because an Xbox is not a PC any more than a bluray player is. All of them have CPUs, memory and mainboards but they're all designed for what they are.
Building a PC in an Xbox case is going to be a challenge because it's designed for Xbox components, not PC components. I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner. Gutting an Xbox case and putting a small form factor PC in it is unquestionably a cool project but it's more of a hard-mode project than a good introduction to PC building.

Everything is purpose built for Xbox and only Xbox. The major components aren’t even removable on their own

Ok you seem pretty new to this so I’m just going to straight up tell you no you’d have to build a completely new pc and then somehow manage to fit it into the Xbox shell. None of the components in a modern console are usable in a pc with the lone exception being the m.2 drive. All of the parts are proprietary in addition to being soldered onto the motherboard

It's not a standard chassis.
You'd have to figure out stuff like motherboard and graphics card mounting, rewiring the front power button and LED, etc.
Then again I don't think it's big enough for even a Mini ITX board.
And don't trust AI.

The Xbox becomes the case. You will/must change all inside stuff
