RTX 3080 5mm over GPU clearance, problem?

I’ve got a Gamdias GC9M Elite case and I’m trying to upgrade my GPU to the RTX 3080 FE, but there's a problem.
The case specs say max GPU length is 280mm.
Has anyone managed to fit a longer card in this case, or is it strictly 280mm max with no exceptions? Also I couldn't find the Inno3D models, or should I go with the dual-fan Dell OEM?

Being a fish tank you are kind of SOL if the card is too big. I'd measure yourself to see if you gave any leeway

It measures exactly 280mm, should I go with another GPU or those blower models of 3080?
