Secondary SSD (Kingston SNV2S2000G) gets stuck at 100% usage after playing games for a few minutes. High average response times and low speeds recorded in task manager. What are my options?

I bought my SSD about a year ago and it's been working fine up until now. Initially I thought it was just one game but other games on different launchers have been causing the same problem.
What are my options here? Is it worth me checking the hardware inside the PC? If so, what should I look for? Or am I out of luck?
