Stansted liquid rule changes, can I bring a lot?

Hii, probably a dumb question but on the Stansted airport’s website it states that i can carry liquids under 100ml and not take them out to present anymore. Does this mean i can take many liquids under 100ml? Or does the one bag rule still apply? I cant find info on that anywhere. Thanks in advance!!

Hi! I traveled from Stansted airport last week, it said a liquid cannot exceed 100ml but there wasn’t a limit, but most of the time you have to come back so I would still follow the 1L rule as you don’t know the scanner the airport you coming back have. But we didn’t have to put them in clear plastics and we didn’t even have to take out our electronics - it all just stays in the bag! Super practical

Stansted is containers of up to 100ml. But all airports have their own rules eg. it's up to 200ml containers at Gatwick.

What cosmetics can I carry in my cabin luggage from Stansted

EDI has the new scanbers and you're allowed up to 2 litres, no limit on bottle size

No. My understanding is that the maximum in a container remains 100ml, and the maximum total amount is 1000ml and which must fit into the clear plastic bag available before security.
There was a short period when the rules were relaxed at airports with new scanning machines but they have been tightened again. Now the only difference is that the liquids can stay inside the luggage.

As many as you like but bare in mind the airport you return from may not have the same rules so you could have to fit them into a bag on the way back. The rule change is due to new scanners that not all airports have.

I fly to Inverness regularly. Inverness seems to be one of the last airports to move away from the liquids and electronics out rules.
Being close to the heart of whisky production you would have thought they would have been one of the first to get around this regulation!

Thank you, i know the one im flying to also has the rule that you dont need to pull liquids out anymore

The instructions only sayn inder 100ML. nothing in the instructions indiccate that you are not allowed to have as much liquid as you want as long as it it in under 100ml containers

While you no longer have to remove them from your hand luggage and put them into the 20x20cm bag, I would assume the maximum amount allowed is still the same and it would need to fit into that bag if requested.
The rule change just speeds up the process.

But if i travel with two hand luggages, I could spread them out a bit to not look too full? Its just weird that their website doesnt say anything about the bags anymore

People in front of us had a bag of mini vodkas each in their carry on and they were fine.
