Fidel_Cashflows@reddit
White people do love their unseasoned, beige mush so it makes sense. You probably think black pepper is spicy.
YakElectronic6713@reddit
Lol... it's sad that even dumb people are allowed to have opinions.
Seygem@reddit
ugali is from east africa. educate yourself before you open your mouth.
Fidel_Cashflows@reddit
Obviously. What part about it being from east africa doesn't make it unseasoned, beige mush?
Seygem@reddit
What part of it "obviously" being from east africa then has anything to do with anything in your comment?
Fidel_Cashflows@reddit
Ugali is a staple african carb, same with Gari and Fufu. That's pretty common knowledge for people who know food.
OP said that he's white and in another comment he prefers eating this by itself. Hence it fits the stereotype of white people liking unseasoned, beige mush.
Seygem@reddit
We have one person, OP, bringing up that they like a (for them) exotic food from their wife's home country.
you then proceed to shit on OP and insult his taste including racial stereotypes.
Go you, I guess.
Fidel_Cashflows@reddit
The fuck sub do you think we're in? The whole point is to shit on OP and their taste. You clutch your pearls harder than this white guy clutches his unseasoned, beige mush.
she-dont-use-jellyyy@reddit
The irony of this being a staple in many African countries though.

My brain read this title as "I'm an ugly white man and this is my favorite dinner"...
ShitTheFuckDown@reddit
I am married to a Tanzanian woman and I just don't "get" ugali. I mean it tastes fine, like almost nothing, but I don't get holding it like a piece of cotton and dipping it in stew. Also the shit gets hard the moment it cools down. Please help me understand, brotherย
indieplants@reddit
it's sort of exactly like white rice, no?
Email_Suarez@reddit (OP)
No nothing like rice but has the same use in a meal as a staple
indieplants@reddit
it's plain, neutral and turns hard when cold. I meant in concept to help the dude understand why it's good!ย
people love white rice. same vibes!
Email_Suarez@reddit (OP)
Oh right apologies
indieplants@reddit
the lot of them being mad at you for posting a plain carb but you posted it in shittyfoodporn is peak Reddit tho my guy. lol
Email_Suarez@reddit (OP)
So Kenyans eat it cooked hard. When I first met my wife i didn't get it either but over time it just became comforting filling and tasty. In Kenya my mother in law makes me a massive slab of it. In the village they also eat a dark brown version which is more viscous. And taste great aswell. I think if you have it with every meal over time you will develop a taste for it. And then you will be kenejji like this mzungu ๐
rackknar@reddit
