i am aware that the cpu cooler is overkill but i wanted extra cooling, other then that is the pc balanced

Build looks very good. The 980 Pro should have dram so more reliable in the long run, they got similar speeds. The 990 evo a bit newer. Tbh they are both good drives, I'd just get the cheapest.

This is a fine system. Nothing stands out, that cooler isn't overkill, its fine.
make sure you look at the ThermalRight offerings as well, they're often cheaper.
