Hello everyone! I am a second-year college student planning to switch to becoming a pilot. I’m currently in the U.S. but plan to return to the Philippines to enroll in a flight school since training is more expensive in the States. My plan is to complete my Private Pilot License (PPL) and Instrument Rating in the Philippines, then come back to the U.S. to continue my training for my Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), CFII, etc. I was wondering if this is a possible path and whether there would be any issues when converting my licenses once I return to the U.S. Also, if anyone can recommend good flight schools near Metro Manila, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

It will almost certainly be easier and cheaper to train here than in the Philippines. Also, finish your degree. It doesn’t matter what it is in.
You also say “return to” the Philippines and then you want to come back to the US to work as a pilot. Do you have US permanent residency?
