What you don't want copilot and teams in your jeep?
nopester24@reddit
This will not end well
DookieMcDookface@reddit
Yike
Careless-Degree@reddit
Initial reaction is absolute horror. Just MS Teams dings and messages but Stellantis reliability so the message probably can’t be pulled up.
Godzilla2y@reddit
Have you ever used microsoft teams? That garbage software already has its own reliability problems.
owleaf@reddit
I wonder why they’re constantly making garbage
Recoil42@reddit
I'm hoping for Clippy as a car assistant.
No-Definition1474@reddit
'Turn the car back on clippy, you cant strand me'
'Did you need some help turning the car on?'
'No clippy, you said I was drunk driving and shut it down, turn it back on I have to go to work, its 6 in the morning dammit'
'Did you say you want to report a drunk driver?'
' NO CLIPPY DAMMIT IM STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY, TURN THE CAR BACK ON'
'Im sorry, do you need help turning the car on?'
'I SWEAR TO GOD CLIPPY IM GOING TO KILL YOU IF YOU DONT TURN THE CAR BACK ON'
'Alert! I have detected an incident, you appear to be in distress, I am alerting emergency responders, please remain where you are and await their arrival'
RSDVI01@reddit
What a move it could be if someone decided to build a car old-school way again…
owleaf@reddit
It seems to focus on AI, and Copilot is genuinely shit. It was actually ok last year but something happened in the last six months and it’s horrific.
Terry___Mcginnis@reddit
Infotainment about to become shit and AI focused. Maybe we'll even see copilot in a fucking car. Jesus.
Shadow5503@reddit
Nah, they just licensed windows 10 as the chassis OS… :)
I had a 2014 Ford (Focus ST!) with late sync 2 and it was quite good for the time. The voice recognition, navigation, and iPhone integration was pretty slick. Don’t recall finding any bugs or flakiness. Once every few months it would spend a minute performing maintenance after starting the car, but that was the wurst of it. No complaints.
ThisPartIsDifficult@reddit
The fuck?
Shallow_wanderer@reddit
man I think at this point we're just in the MadLibs timeline now, just a bunch of random bullshit starting to hit all at once
Abi1i@reddit
Took the words out of my mouth.
Dachshand@reddit
Two failing companies. A match made in heaven.
Legitimate_Goat_2209@reddit
two of the greediest and most flimsy companies in their respective fields teaming up. What shall, or what shall not go wrong?
Dikhoofd@reddit
Fiat did it before and it sucked
bindermichi@reddit
PSA had Microsoft in their car for years as well
Mother____Clucker@reddit
So did Ford. The original Sync infotainment versions were a MS product. Granted, that was before the age of OTA updates, telematics, and data harvesting.
AndroidMyAndroid@reddit
That was also a largely forgotten, and fairly decent system for the time. Sync 2 really fucking sucked, and it took Ford a long time to fix it and even longer to get ride of the stigma it caused.
HiIary4Prison@reddit
Sync 2 was perfectly fine lol
Daegoba@reddit
Sync2 is one of the single worst integration systems known to man.
WHY does my audio system default to “line in” instead of Bluetooth? WHY?
Several-Eggplant4460@reddit
But that was before all of Microslop's AI.
Don't you want Copilot in your car?
AndroidMyAndroid@reddit
Yeah, when I'm approaching a confusing intersection I want Clippy popping up on my HUD to give me some advice
Redeemed_Expert9694@reddit
Sure, Stellantis is greedy, but in the car world nobody tops the greed of GM
AndroidMyAndroid@reddit
No, it's Porsche by a mile.
GM gives us a 1,250 hp Corvette for the price of any 911 Turbo or GT model.
Porsche charges you almost $1,600 if you want your 911 in any actual color. Feel like 4-way manual adjust seats aren't a great fit in a $130k car? OK, $2,460 for power adjust. Want any interior color except black? OK, $3k more.
V8-Turbo-Hybrid@reddit
Why do any comparing ? Every automaker is greedy.
Redeemed_Expert9694@reddit
No GM's greedy makes the others seem generous
GM is the company that asked the US government for compensation after its factories, which produced weapons for the Axis powers in WW2 where damaged.
GM is the company that knowingly refused to repair their faulty ignition switches because they figured it'd be cheaper to pay off the nearly 300 injured people and the relatives of the 124 people who died AND the repair cost would have been $0.57 per car!!
Mother____Clucker@reddit
It's not just GM. The first example that comes immediately to mind is when Toyota had their accelerator pedal woes, and it resulted in the deaths of dozens of people. They tried to sweep it under the rug and the government charged them over a billion dollars in fines because of it.
d4ybrake@reddit
the 4th most valuable company in the world is flimsy? as flimsy as the company ranked 1,016th?
MRDR1NL@reddit
Outlook seems to be running twice and neither are responsive, hipe that doesn't affect the brakes
EndlessBattlee@reddit
I like how the article says "As vehicles have quickly evolved to include the kind of connectivity not even dreamed of a decade ago". Exactly, that’s part of the issue. No one asked for or wants cars to become computers on wheels. These features are pushed more by corporate interests than by actual user demand.
tejanaqkilica@reddit
Have you talked to the average driver, or the average car journalist? The experience of the car is more important that what drives the car. Sure the engine may be unreliable or whatever, but it has so many touch screens that have a QHD screen resolution.
BWFTW@reddit
Slopantis and microslop are truly one of the duos of all time.
techtimee@reddit
At least it's not SYNC again. Still have episodes of frustration dealing with SYNC.
mr_bots@reddit
Not to defend MS but a lot of the MyFordTouch shit show was Ford fuckery on top of MS automotive. Once they screwed the pooch they brought MS in to help fix it.
RichardNixon345@reddit
And yet when Ford told Microsoft to take a hike and built Sync 3 on top of QNX the issues disappeared.
Mother____Clucker@reddit
My truck (a 2013 F150) came with Sync 2. It was worth over $1,000 to retrofit it with a Sync 3 system. The addition of AA was a nice bonus, too.
ViperThreat@reddit
And even then, it still sucked ass.
RFK_Cum_Regimen@reddit
100% an AI data privacy massacre incoming. MS Teams letting your employer's management know everything yo do behind the wheel. This is going to be utterly disgusting, guaranteed. Get these tech-slop data hoarding parasites out of my car.
Ooficus@reddit
Stellantis is already using AI in their commercials.
india2wallst@reddit
The Ram and Jeep bros can finally have Teams running full screen in the infotainment.
liftwaffles@reddit
Autoslop and Microslop team up to produce some of the worst things ever
Nice.
hundredjono@reddit
The Dodge Charger EV will be on the cover of Forza Motorsport 9
ottrocity@reddit
Does no one remember Sync and Sync 2??
motorcitydevil@reddit
Dodge, now with One Drive.
phxbimmer@reddit
Oh boy, Microsoft Teams and Outlook integration, yet another way to crash the infotainment system.
gfewfewc@reddit
lol
BetweenFourAndTwenty@reddit
Why? For all of FCA/Stellantis' faults, Uconnect was and still is one of the better infotainment systems out on the market.
LongjumpingJob3452@reddit

Aight this is just laughable at this point how do two of the worst producing yet somehow still successful companies team up
Traditional-Hall-591@reddit
Microslop and the worst car maker. A match made in mediocrity
bandi53@reddit
Imagine using Microsoft Authenticator to unlock your car. I’d probably just set it on fire after the third attempt.
No-Definition1474@reddit
Every new car comes with a Zune
fabuzo@reddit

Stellantis already promised us that before the deal

Hop in the Jeep! There’s a tornado coming!

kyonkun_denwa@reddit
So we're taking a Frankenstein car company made up of various corpse parts (arm from Peugeot, leg from Opel, finger from Chrysler) and pairing it with a company primarily known for marketing an OS/2 hack that's had every imaginable appendage bolted on over the decades, to the point where its own developers don't know how the thing works.
Yeah this will lead to beautiful things.
potroast2000@reddit
It'll make you switch your browser to Bing before it lets the breaks work.
sd140220@reddit
Okay; but does it rust out or bluescreen first?
kstetter@reddit (OP)
You get a 1-UP if both happen at once
DZello@reddit
Stellantis has received the Kiss of Death.
