I ordered steak and chips from my local takeaway

I ordered it medium and got it well done, paid £15 (or $20), came with onions rings, grilled onions n mushrooms, peppers, chips n a salad I ordered with no tomatoes.

ate it all barring the salad (I ate the cucumber tho)

Look, does it look like it’d taste awful? Maybe not. But if that aren’t the saddest generic freezer burned fries & onion rings on the market. Shit, that steak is kinda pathetic for the price 😂

I like how in America we usually serve british-style fries with steak (we literally call them steakhouse style), and almost everywhere I've seen doing a steak frites kind of deal in Britain serves it with American style fries.

But that honestly looks pretty good. Everything's cooked just a tad anemic, but at this point I'm just convinced that fires don't get as hot in the UK.
