Garden incinerator too close to the fence. What are my options?

My neighbours are preparing to use mesh type garden incinerator as some kind of garden "party feature" but they've positioned it about 3 feet from wooden fence and about 6 feet from the building (garden is only about 12 feet wide from fence to fence) and during their "test" run they clearly can't control it, the flame is too high, pets are running around. What are my options? I'm really scared they will cause a fire and damage, especially when I'm away. What should I do?

Speak to them, ask if they can move it further away from the wooden fence.

Speak to them?

Speak to them, that you want to ensure that they and you are all safe
Make sure you’re hose is ready
dhardyuk@reddit
Becoming the hose needs more preparation.
And if you become the hose make sure you can keep the pressure up as you’ll need to be out of sight of any cctv if you want to avoid being put on a list.
The list will follow you.

Contact your local fire dept. They will come speak to them about it, but it could take a while to organise.
Immediately, speak to the neighbours directly about it.

Fire brigade/service, not department.

Have insurance. Also have a bucket of sand and a hosepipe or fire extinguisher ready to go. Fire blankets are very cheap to purchase and I always carry a fire extinguisher in my car anyway. Having seen a family only just escape a car fire I never want to be unprepared again.
You could also just have a friendly chat saying it makes you nervous and give some good control suggestions to the neighbour.

Also, to give some context, they are renting the place and are young (very young) so possibly oblivious to these kind of considerations?

Buy insurance?
You can call the fire station on the non emergancy line and ask them what they reckon.
davehemm@reddit
Cctv to record garden, make sure you have legal cover on your home insurance policy.
BeaksFalcone@reddit
Ask them nicely to move it closer to their property, take a bucket/bottle of water as a gift so they can keep water close by or small firelighters(might help to be kinder)
DangerousDisplay7664@reddit
Nothing much you can do short of speak to them and ask them to move it or stop using it - neither of which are likely to be successful.
