moving guidance needed

Hey guys! I’m moving from NYC to Dallas at the end of May as I’ve found a job opportunity there (not very good paying but better than my current one). I have a wife and 2 kids, I’m thinking about moving to an affordable place near the airport (20 minute drive maximum) but with very good public zone highschools for my kids to attend. I’m having trouble choosing between societies and apartments as I’m looking for a 2bedroom 2 bath apartment but something very affordable, good and geographically convenient for my preferences. Please let me know if anyone of you has been through the same decision making process as me and if anyone has any recommendations. I think near airports is the suburbs right?

For 20 min from DFW airport with strong schools, look at Coppell, Grapevine, and parts of Southlake/Colleyville if budget allows. Coppell ISD and Grapevine-Colleyville ISD both rate well and inventory is reasonable.

If you want more affordable, Hurst/Euless/Bedford (HEB ISD) is the value play in that radius. Tax rates and HOA loads vary a lot block to block in DFW, so check both before you decide on an area.

nyc to dallas is a solid move for cost of living. for DFW near the airport, look at irving or euless, both have decent schools and are pretty affordable. for the cross country part, my cousin's family went with Safebound Moving last year and had no complaints.
