Looking for a apartment

Moving for a job in Plano and have been looking for a apartment with no luck. Most of what I’m seeing are all rat and rodent infested or have vehicle break in. My budget is about 1800-2200 and would like to be in the north Dallas/ Plano arena any recommendations?

I lived @ legends on Legacy 15 years ago. Wasn’t bad.

There are plenty of nice one bedroom apts in Plano under $2200. Not sure where you're looking that has rat and rodent infestations. Use ChatGpt to narrow down your search.

If you don't want your typical apartment complex living, this private owner listing is in a great location on the west side of Plano. Gated condo community. 2 bedroom/2 bath with attached garage. No one living above you. Dog park if you have one.

I like Junction 15. Area is walkable with nice restaurants nearby, and the complex is nice.

Just moved here. Yeah it's great. Very quiet, nice area. DART rail within walking distance. Units are pretty nice and affordable at OP's price range.

How’s parking and the package delivery system
Chaucer85@reddit
I've seen people get things direct delivered to their doors, but there's also dedicated mail room with pin code activated lockers. Did have to specify "mailroom" for Amazon, cuz they will just put things on the leasing office door and let them be nicked.
The parking garage attached to the building still has some open spots each floor, as well as some reservable spots left. I'm paying for six months of parking, but I don't drive much anymore with the train, so I might stop paying for a reserve spot.

Have you experienced any issues or any pest related problems?
DoritoPurge@reddit
I had a small issue at one point last year (did not have any antiroach traps or preventatives set up), but since then the complex has swapped pest control (last year), I haven't seen anything since.
I bought roach traps and preventatives just in case, but honestly haven't set them up since I haven't seen any with the new company.
I have never seen or heard rats.

Tbh there are even a few houses listed 2100. If you got the income, try getting an agent to help you find a rental and offer a 2 yr lease on a place for less.

Domain at the Gate is pretty great. It’s off Lebanon Rd and has a very easy on/off of Dallas North TR. Very easy to reach Preston RD too if you are not keen on DNT.

There are few good communities in and around Preston and legacy. Camden, Marquis, villas of Preston creek to name a few

The Beacon. We live there. It’s convenient to George Bush and the Tollway, has GREAT walkability, very secure, and great mostly peaceful and considerate neighbors.

How is the mailing system? Do you deal with any package stuff or anything like that? I was looking at that place.?
Current_Analysis_104@reddit
No, not really. The package system sends email and text. No problem with regular mail. They also regular exterminate and change ac filters. They take good care of the property.

How’s parking
Current_Analysis_104@reddit
No problems. You can reserve a space but there are usually plenty open. Come and take a tour if you haven’t already. Also a nice pool with outdoor grilling area, a lounge-type area called The Blue Note with a grand piano anyone can use. Even pickle ball courts and a dog park if you’re into that. There is one down side. Medical City Plano is a few blocks away and sometimes the ambulance sirens are pretty late at night. Not that much though.

Just look in Richardson or garland. There is plenty of nice areas.
