Very burnt. You gotta use way thicker cut bacon for this application to allow for more time to caramelize the sugar while leaving the bacon properly cooked and not blasted into dusty oblivion.
ooooooooh gimme! I love adding a bit of brown sugar and cracked pepper when I am cooking bacon or pan frying ham slices. It gets all nice and caramelized. Makes a smokey, sweet, peppery treat. Never thought to add pecans!
I thought it was a free sample showing pieces before they were broken or something, but I think you're right!
I'd've tried it either way, sounds yum. My only worry is they look a little wayyy-burnt, but looks can be deceiving, so I still wouldn't have taken a bite!
Add 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 teaspoons of mustard (best use some dijon), 1/2 teaspoon salt, and a pinch of cayenne to a bowl, toss in your bacon and mix with your hands till its decently coated (is usually enaugh for about a pound of bacon, can look a bit dry on top of the bacon if you use an entire pound, that is totally normal), put the bacon on a wire rack evenly and prepare a second baking sheet (wrapped in foil if you want an easy cleanup) as a greasetrap and to end it up throw that in the center section of your preaheated oven (350F) for 20- 35 min. It should look slightly dark, but dont go too far! Now just let it cool and enjoy!
Play around with the times a bit till you get an eye for the right colour, but when you get that down it is worse then crack/cocaine, you just cannot stop.
A guy who works with me makes homemade jerky and sometimes he does candied bacon too. He always brings me a little bag every batch. I say all that to say candied bacon is amazing!
First, they put calories at the top because it is actually the most important number for most people.
Second, it's praline candied bacon so the highest number after calories will definitely be fat, probably followed by sugar. Carbs would be relatively low
That sounds amazing. I cannot understand why no one would eat it. I once made a cheesecake with a bacon weave crust. Salty smoky bacon is amazing in desserts
Or at least something in the candy ingredients process that makes it look darker. I've used a maple syrup baking process to candy it that does that too

Try maple candied bacon, is an absolute slapper!

it's actually not a lot at all. in reality the highest number below the calories number will be carbs.
Remember, calories don't mean a lot which is why other ingredients are listed below in

those are the ones to worry about
clever marketing is
CALORIES: 100
^carbs: ^40g
