Now show the Grimace one.
ShadyBoar@reddit
Don’t forget the Grimace bath sponge
leeesssaaa@reddit
No thank you.
FlurkingSchnit@reddit
Did it make you…grimace?
Secure_Bed_9110@reddit
Just a fucking purple oven mitt, lol.
MyNameCannotBeSpoken@reddit
I'll show you mine if you show me yours.
Howard_Scott_Warshaw@reddit
Yes, officer. This one right here
AppropriateTouching@reddit
What I wouldnt do to be able to fist Grimace again.
MilaVaneela@reddit
Man, nostalgia! The things that kept us busy back then.
The other day I thought about those big balloon ball things with the big rubber bands on the end. Blow the thing up, grab the rubber band and punch it over and over. Usually they were in a package hanging on the end of the aisle at the grocery store. Oh, and bubble solution with all the weird wands.
miranym@reddit
I misread "bad boy-os" as "bad yo-yos" at first and it somehow made sense to me. They ARE bad yo-yos.
CherryCherry5@reddit
Oh man, I loved these!
MilaVaneela@reddit
It’s amazing how simple they were but how much fun also
CherryCherry5@reddit
They were especially fun to bonk your little brother with. 😆
KarenEiffel@reddit
These were so much fun the whap people in the face with. Never really hurt anybody but it would scare the bejesus outta them.Good times!
MilaVaneela@reddit
😂 I remember being upset about something and taking it out on one of these. I punched it so hard that it hit the corner of a wall in the mobile home we lived in and the cheap fake wood paneling popped it. It scared the hell out of me because as thick as those things were, I honestly wouldn’t have thought it would do that. Maybe I was just that mad lol
Kade7596@reddit
i can both hear and smell this image, and they aren't even inflated
MilaVaneela@reddit
I’m seriously thinking about going to the dollar tree tomorrow and buying a package of those, and some bubble solution lol
rolL_uP_one_more@reddit
TBH I was never entertained by this
up_scumbag@reddit
I would make Ronald grab himself and it was the funniest thing my little brother had ever seen.
We would also make the puppets battle violently until our parents broke it up.
jesst@reddit
It always started nice. Then it turned to violence.
Sensitive-Review-712@reddit
Agree, they just made my hands sweaty.
gotbock@reddit
Mom's spaghetti
ouijahead@reddit
I remember that the only reason you would have gotten one of these was because they sold out of the Happy Meal Toy.
ialsohaveadobro@reddit
Did you ever see those ads in comic books and magazines for these handpuppet things that you were supposed to be able to flip in the air and they would land standing up? That would be like nine times more entertaining, I think (I never ordered any).
Sigma_Siren@reddit
Omfg! That memory was in a vault.
iill_communication@reddit
McD’s hand puppets. Damn I’m old
Aronacus@reddit
Can I just say, kids toys at Restaurants in the 80s and 90s were peak! Taking my kids out for burgers now is such a sad affair.
The toys all suck! At this point can they just give us book vouchers or library passes.
We had transforming toys, ALF, hot wheels, mascot toys that didn't fall apart before you left the store.
Red_Car_Singer@reddit
It DID take McD a little while to get those toys to peak... Anyone else remember the build it yo'self toys with the McDonaldland crew? I remember having to snap the pieces together of an all pink birdie in airplane, wings and the propeller for the front. I don't even think they came with stickers for decoration.
bchanged@reddit
They hosted birthday parties! That fact alone illustrates the stark change.
At this point it sounds equally as foreign as the original price for a hamburger, 15¢
Aronacus@reddit
The play areas. Oh my god! Eating then running outside to play.
brokenman82@reddit
Yeah we used to collect them and bring them to school and stuff.
Aronacus@reddit
Yep! You'd trade them with you friends.
I'll also say our toys back then we're better too.
I want to get my kids caps and see what happens. I'll probably get accused of child abuse
darxide23@reddit
I would never have remembered these on my own.
Least-Bear6483@reddit
My hand feels sweaty just looking at it.
popproxx@reddit
This was my first thought.
Economy_General8943@reddit
Omg take me back! There were also some sort of hats too.
Butt_Stuff_Profile@reddit
Some stupid kids choked on those and those were no more.....
CherryCherry5@reddit
Whooooooa. Now that's something I'd completely forgotten about.
EineGrosseFlasche@reddit
They should have called these Ronald MittDonald 😅
ZaithianKnightwolf@reddit
I remember the feel of the weird thick plastic
BrooklynRobot@reddit
Where did Ronald touch you?
fullthrottletomboy@reddit
core memory unlocked
George_Vandelay_Inc@reddit
I'm a Millennial infiltrating this subreddit. I must say, if that's your Happy Meal toy, I feel bad for ya'll. That's worse than nowaday's Happy Meal Toys. Keep in mind, I did no reaearch--just stopping by.
Specialist-Job-509@reddit
Holy shit, this one hits hard! Totally forgot about these!!!
ouijahead@reddit
I remember these were what you got when they sold out of the featured toy. Kind of a bummer honestly.
sand_anne@reddit
Same!! This whole sub is unlocked memories for me. What a blast from the past
dewihafta@reddit
Me too! Memory unlocked!
suttonhillsame@reddit
just had a flashback to when i had a birthday party at McDonalds in the late 80's. We definitely had these!
ConnectKale@reddit
This and those cookies were the best part of the Happy Meal
NineToeBIll@reddit
McDonald's Birthday parties were awesome!!
Colonel_Green@reddit
We were literally instructed to play with plastic bags 😂
ialsohaveadobro@reddit
Not for lack of trying.
ialsohaveadobro@reddit
"Here, have a piece of shit made out of... something. Give it a good gnaw if you like!"
notworkingghost@reddit
lol, I forgot about these!
Drum_Eatenton@reddit
The Pizza Hut land before time puppets were way cooler
jakoobie6@reddit
Whoa! Memory unlocked!
2PM2@reddit
Dang, just dang.
575_Pilot@reddit
I was never entertained by Ronald and McDonald's
thunderlips36@reddit
They were on the high chairs for the longest time. They also could have had holes so they didn't make hands so incredibly sweaty. Trying to peel that thing off a wet hand was overly frustrated
Coolschmo1@reddit
I bet more people choked to death on that then were entertained.
weezie_lou@reddit
I do not this this ever entertained us.
absentlyric@reddit
Omg, I haven't seen or thought of these since they were actually a thing.
