For context 8 years ago i was really into pc gaming so i built a pretty good pc, I kinda stopped gaming 4 years ago but I want to start playing the new Battlefield and maybe some other games. My current pc cant handle battlefield.
Im thinking about just buying a new gpu, will i run into issues if i dont upgrade other stuff aswel?
CPU: Intel Core I7 8086k - 4 GHz
RAM: 16gb corsair vengeance ddr4-2666
Mainboard: Gigabyte B360M D3H
GPU: ROG Strix GeForce® GTX 1070 Ti Advanced-Edition 8GB
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MasterAir MA610P
PSU: Corsair RM650X
SSD: 1TB
If someone can give me some advice on what i should do to be able to play games like battlefield on decent settings and 100+ fps.
Thanks!

i would honestly start over. what's your budget?

€1000 but im not planning to really get into gaming again, i just wanna be able to play newer games sometimes, so i dont want to spend thousands on a crazy new rig

It doesn't matter, are you going to play a game thousand times or just once.
You need the same hardware to play with 100 fps.

Sounds like you want a console dude…You aren’t going to be able to play modern games looking real nice without dropping some coin right now unless you’re on consoles. If you’re fine with turning down the graphics a bit, used market is where you’ll find a banger for your budget.

What if i get the rx9060 with a new cpu, or will i have to get more ram aswel?
maesteradvent@reddit
I’m pretty sure the best cpu you can get on that motherboard would be a i9 9900k
You’ll want a paired ram kit, 16gigs per slot and 8 gigs per slot on dual channel, so id go with 2 16 gig kits (2x8gb)
I would try a 5070, if you can get one on sale for under 400.
You are going to be limited a lot by your motherboard, it will bottleneck your GPU. A new generation mobo, with ddr5 and full pcie 4.0/5.0 throughput.
You’ll need a new PSU as well for any updated video card

Get an Intel Core i7-9700K and 32 GB update that motherboard as for the GPU an RTX 3070 OR 3080 will do the trick.

with 32GB you mean the ram?

Are you staying with Intel or going with the Ryzen CPU?

https://computerciti.com/products/asrock-radeon-rx-9060-xt-challenger-16gb-gddr6-oc-graphics-card This is a great card and cheap too. But if your playing battlefield it might cause ur cpu too bottleneck. In that case you would need to change your motherboard and cpu. You should be at 80-120 fps with this gpu and ur cpu right now. Battlefield is a cpu demanding game I would upgrade to a different board and cpu depending on ur budget either go am5 or switch too am4.
https://computerciti.com/products/msi-b550-gaming-gen3-gaming-motherboard-amd-ryzen-5000-series-am4-ddr4 This is a great motherboard and you can pair it up with a AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D
