I was sitting in my sleeper and thought I kept hearing chickens. I barely grabbed the camera in time to catch it.

Orland CA at the pilot
Beneficial-Gate-8617@reddit
I go there all the time. I was about to say was this the Orland flying j, because that's the only truck stop I've ever seen chickens at
SurfingFossa@reddit
I was going to guess Yuba City, CA. They’re everywhere over there
Gotsnuffy@reddit

Only time I've been happy to see cock at a truck stop.

For the right price that can be changed.
homucifer666@reddit
No, it can't. Money can change the things you do, but it can't change the things you love.
Timmy98789@reddit
Everyone has a price.
homucifer666@reddit
You ever hear the term "hating it all the way to the bank?"
Just because you're willing to do it for money doesn't mean you like it; take a look at all the millions of people suffering in dead end jobs just to make it paycheck to paycheck. They sure as hell aren't loving what they do.

Is this the Pilot in Orland, CA? There's a chicken farm across the street and they wander in all the time.

TwoToadsKick@reddit
There's a small town in my route area that has a flock? Of chickens that wander around. I go out of my way to see them. Haven't seen them yet this year though.

i think i've figured out that joke. people say it's anti-humor, and the joke is that there isn't an answer. but i dont think that's true.
i think it's just like... people laughing while talking about something. and then that kind of evolved into a saying, and then that evolved into a joke. thats my guess, because apparently nobody knows where that joke came from.
but, when i travelled to mexico, there were chickens everywhere. and just like this, they run around all over the place. and it's really cute, and really funny, for some reason. like, they are just hilarious.
so i think it's just people laughing really hard going "why do chickens run around like that?" and that somehow got misconstrued into there being a joke.

Funny story, my Wife thought she heard turkeys outside of our apartment, I thought it was the water heater so I unintentionally gaslit her into thinking it was the water heater. Then one day we saw a group of turkeys just casually strolling about lol
