The kimbers, from what I can tell, actually shoot the closest to the feeling of the higher end 2011's. Alot of folks are buying them as beater guns so they don't put wear on their match guns.
The sigs shoot closer to a staccato feel... good and "soft" for recoil sensitive shooters but if you want to shoot fast you want a fast cycling gun that returns to zero... not a slow cycling gun that shoots soft and sluggish.

Idk if any 2011 style gun can ever not shoot soft lol. My $500 Tisas DS is absurdly easy to shoot so I can only imagine how the fancier compensated 2011s shoot

I have one of the Mac9 DS pistols, really nice for the money. I put an underworld comp on mine, excited to see how it feels once I get a chance to try it out. Next, an EGW ignition kit.

Wonder how good that ignition kit could really be for $150+. I did a set of springs for $15 and lightened the factory sear and it’s already spectacular. Grabbing a cheap trigger to have overtravel adjustment and that should be all I need

The EGW ignition kit is a great add, that’s what I did to my DS Comp when I had it. Insanely good value as a gun, I may end up getting another as a beater gun since I regret selling mine.

I do agree there. Both look great imo. I was originally set on the kimber but have heard the fit and finish are nicer on the sig so I just went with it. Worst case I buy a kimber later lol

Have you ever had to actually use the Sig warranty? I’ve used it twice, called the number and a real person answers immediately. Both times they sent parts free of the charge, no questions.

Had issues with my MPX. Sig gaslit, pretended it wasn't an issue, eventually relented and RMA'd the gun... didn't fix it and sent it back continuing to pretend there was no feeding issue.
Local gunsmith solved the issue. Combined with the P320 issues not buying another (American) Sig.
