ULPT request Pretending to have a high school diploma

As the title suggests, I currently live in Italy and have been granted funding by the region where I live to undertake a vocational reskilling course, as I am unemployed (the course involves 800 hours of training, plus a job offer from a company upon completion).
Now, the centre that put me on this list to receive the funds didn’t carry out the necessary checks and enquiries, and when the application was passed on to the company, they didn’t bother with it either. However, when I actually go to take the course using these funds, I will in fact need to hold a high school diploma (which I don’t have).
In two weeks’ time, I’ll have to go and sign the documents to receive these funds. In your opinion, what are the chances that the (private) school will check my status if I turn up with the acceptance letter from the job centre and the funds provided by the region already in hand? Will I still be able to take the course even though I don’t have the required qualifications?
The qualifications are regulated by a regional law that is valid only within the region

I took a job once that required a college degree (funny enough, the job was at a university) I had come up 7 credits short when I was kicked out at 21, but at 27, and a different university no one checked, no one was concerned. I ended up telling my boss because I wanted to use the free tuition and didn’t want anything coming up later.

It's very easy to find diplomas online that you can change and copy and print out. I just Googled it and you can buy fake diplomas online.

Yeah, but thing is, diplomas (at least here in Italy) are printed by the State Printing Office on watermarked and numbered paper, as they are legally valid documents And ofc I need to present that one at the school, not a copy

Do you have homeschooling there? Maybe you could present a document that showed that you were homeschooled, make up a document...

It's unclear if you are Italian or not. Can you claim a diploma from a school in another country?

Yeah, Sorry! I'm Italian and I live in Italy,, I mentioned that because I don’t actually know how the education system works outside my own country, just to make it clearer, but yes, it does make it seem like I’m from abroad, haha

I know that in several European countries there is a centralized registration of all diplomas. If that's the case in Italy, then you may be screwed. Note: if you are no longer close to high school age, I wonder if anyone will actually ask.

Cross that bridge if they actually ask.
