Damn you were hip
absentlyric@reddit
You look like you are about to plan a weekend trip with some friends to stay at a cabin in the woods..

Lol, happened more than once. Nobody died.

We had rusted out regular cars. And my parents were hippies in reform so no guns.
elphaba00@reddit
My mom wouldn’t let me watch GI Joe because she said it glorified guns and warfare. It wasn’t until I was older that I found out no one died and they couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn

I sure showed MY parents - I'm one of the geniuses who joined the Army after 9/11. My parents wore "peace" buttons to my Basic graduation in March of '03.

Hahah No.

We would’ve raced

Mine was just the ones they took at school on picture day. Complete with long hair, a shitty beard, and Goldfinger shirt.

That's like me now, but I have short hair. Just turned 45. No cool car pictures. But I had an 82 Honda Accord hatchback, manual transmission.

I didn't even get my first car until 4 years out of HS.

Awesome!

I loathed high school and have like no pictures taken from that era.
But my car was a Vinyl top Chrysler LeBaron.
Wadgeman05@reddit
Same. 89
elphaba00@reddit
Mine, too. It was my mom’s car. I totaled it when it hit some slush and slid into an intersection and hit a rusted out 1970s Pontiac

Listen, if this guy ever invites you a weekend at a cabin in the woods don't read any strange books.

I graduated early so didn't get senior pictures, but I did take some pictures around that time with my whip. walked to my first job for a couple of months to save up the money to buy it myself.
river_tree_nut@reddit
Sure did! Graduated ‘96 one of my senior pics was me in my tie dye sitting on the hood of my ‘72 Impala
Weak_Radish966@reddit
My senior picture was me sitting on the hood of my 87 Crown Vic, rocking a Wu Tang shirt. 98!

I screwed up and missed the professional photographer at our school, so my mom had to take me to Olán Mills… my senior photos look terrible like I had them done at Sears.
And my car was a Chevy S-10 with flaking paint… not exactly a 1966 Mustang. I own a Corvette at 23 because I had a company car, but unfortunately that was in that weird gap where we had headphones but no cameras on them. I think I have like two photos of that car!!

Yes!

I was talking to my wife recently about senior pictures. I never did them & I don’t know anyone who did where I lived. It just wasn’t a thing in my world.
She said she knew people who did it & she did it. Our high schools were very close to each other so it wasn’t like a regional difference.

So, I grew up in southern Arizona. I didn’t even know senior pictures were a thing until I moved to the Upper Midwest like a decade later.
I’m not sure if it was because we were poor or it just wasn’t a thing for people in that part of the country? I think it’s a cool idea I just didn’t know about it at all.
Frosty_Cloud_2888@reddit
No I just went with the cheapest because I had to pay for the even though my mother made me get them.
DrMcJedi@reddit
I should have done this with my two-tone brown ‘89 Caravan…I unironically loved that van…
tlivingd@reddit
Sweet 72 Buick with turbines.
Lowspark1013@reddit
Wish I would have. That's a bad ass senior photo! All I have are some cheesy staged studio ones with a letter jacket or some shit.
ReferredByJorge@reddit
I didn’t have anything worth showing off. And I was kinda anti-showing off (see my first sentence).
bloomsday289@reddit
I think of all the things we were up to in the 90s, that photo has aged pretty well. I had a 66 Mustang.
