90's & 2000's Mitsubishi Delica's are also pretty close to a battle car straight out of the factory. Not so much with the modern ones, but the old ones are eligible for import to the US now!

delica is unironically one of my dream cars
randomdude4113@reddit
Wait is that actually happening or this is some fantasy? If so that’s awesome, I tried to draw my rendition of what that would look like a while back.

Nothing at all against OP for this, everyone falls for it at some point: That article is complete hearsay and LARPing. The article that the above article references is in the same tone as OP's link. It's a bullshit article that's referencing a "What if" scenario.
Besides, if they Raptor'ize any Mustang. I see it being the Mach E more so than the S650 (or the later S750). Love it or hate it. There's a Mach E Rally. As illogical as the Rally is, the least illogical next step is a Mustang Mach E Raptor.

If Ford or anybody else builds a factory battlecar, they’ll print money for a year or two until it dies off as a fad, a lot like the PT Cruiser.
Ser_Olyvar@reddit
Bruh, the PT cruiser sold 1.35 million units over 9 years. Any manufacturer would kill for that. It would make any executives career.

The Crosstrek is a factor battle car, but with ~0 horsepower. That's been a substantial success!
Gingersauce32@reddit
Sellong them only as non-turbo CVT's in Aus is a crime against humanity. Even if just ONE of those two things chnaged i'd buy one
2Walker_TRD_Softroad@reddit
Agreed. They missed out on an amazing parts bin opportunity.

All the super-douches will be driving around on main roads with the light bar on. 🤦🏻

AMC made a 4x4 wagon, sedan, and coupe in the 70s to 80s. The Rally Fighter from 2010-2016 and the Lamborghini Sterrato that i believe is still in production.
hourGUESS@reddit
Ever seen a Rally Fighter? Go look that up if you haven't.

Knobby tires? Check!
Mudflaps? Check!
Lifted suspension? Check!
Light bar? Check!
Crazy loud exhaust ? Check!
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!! Too bad about the six figure price tag. Can’t wait to see how one of these winds up on Matt’s Off-Road Recovery.
Din_Plug@reddit
They want that much for the stupid thing? You could build it yourself or have a kustom shop do it for less unless I am seriously missing something.
Axeman1721@reddit
Its not real. Its a render that C&D uses to get clicks
Hrhagadorn@reddit
Yeah but that one will have a factory warranty still
Axeman1721@reddit
This is not real. Its a render like almost every other one of these
