I'm not getting paid from then or anything, just really satisfied with the service. I bought a Cube ebike 2 months ago from them. I wanted an ebike, but thinking about it for a long time. So I started looking for cheap ebikes, but they didn't really had what I wanted. Then I thought, why not look at used ebikes.
I was really doubting buying it online, not being able to see it in purpose. But after looking through FAQ, seeing that you can ride it for 50km and don't like it, still return it and get your money back, was what made me at ease of giving it a try.
It was a nice and smooth experience as others mentioned. But as they solely used bikes, the selection is limited, just keep that in mind.
When it arrived everything looked as the images, but I noticed the mudguard had some damage. Exactly looked like it was lifted up there. And by the way the bike was packaged, it was not possible this happened during or after transport. I took pictures of it (always take pictures when receiving/sending packages), send it to their customer service. I think it was Friday afternoon or evening and on Saturday morning I received a response that they agree/see the damage and that I could get it replaced at a bike shop of my choosing and they would pay back the costs of replacing the mudguard.
So I decided to go to a dedicated Cube store nearby, they were very busy but decided to let it get fixed there anyway. Two weeks later I bring my bike, they fixed it and a few days later I picked up my bike, sent a copy of the bill of repair to that same email and the next day they said that it will be refunded and should be processed within a few days. (Ofcourse in all stages I kept them up to date, they were very kind, helpful and nice)
It is my first and so far only purchase yet, but I definitely will be looking there again if I need another ebike in the future.
Buyer beware. I had a terrible experience with Upway and specifically a representative named Shon. I received a ~$9,000 bike with major, undisclosed carbon frame damage and a non-functioning dropper post—issues that should have been obvious during any legitimate inspection.
Despite this, Upway refused to take responsibility and instead demanded I pay to return the bike. When I asked for documentation of their so-called “50-point inspection,” they would not provide it and simply repeated their demand for a return.
This raises serious concerns about their inspection process and disclosure practices. At best, it reflects poor quality control; at worst, it feels intentionally misleading. I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing from them.
