Toyota commercial vans?

I have seen a Toyota commercial van in the USA. Do they sell them here? I see lots of Fords, Chevys, GMCs, Rams, Nissans. Why don't they?

Back in the 1960s the US implemented a 25% tariff on imported trucks as a retaliation of the banned export of chickens to Europe. The tariff still exists which makes importing trucks too expensive.

Hino Truck is a subsidiary of Toyota motor corporation. Commercial trucks and diesel engines is what they produce.

They used to in the 1980s. It didn't sell well.

Toyota has two large van offerings, the H300 Hiace (which is an in-house Toyota design) and the ProAce Max (which is a rebadged Stellantis model)
The former is not really suitable for the USA, it's a bit smaller and only comes with small engines (mostly diesels). The latter is already sold under other badges in North America.

The Chevy Express van is the best van ever made, and has undergone very few changes since the late 1990s.

Because they cant compete on price. It is the #1 factor when comparing commercial vehicles.
