They would have sold a boatload

If the AC could keep up with that greenhouse
lostbutnotgone@reddit
My AC at full power in my 01 Forester can't really keep up with Florida Summer and it's slightly less greenhouse than this thing. You'd need the coldest AC known to man for this.
ContributionDapper84@reddit
Exactly. If the Forester had any more glazing, Fuji would hafta pay Bill Watterson royalties. proof
dphoenix1@reddit
No chance with the ACs Ford used back then. Maybe if they sourced Frigidaire A6 compressors from GM, but that sort of parts sharing didn’t start till the 70s.
Bork_King@reddit
Yeah, There’s no way the York or Tecumesh compressors could keep with that much glass.

Love love this!

Can I have that analog gps
frankybling@reddit
I am guessing that used some sort of land based triangulation system like a Loran because there weren’t any GPS in orbit in 64… which makes it that much cooler for me.
iwannaberockstar@reddit
Inertial navigation system of some sorts maybe...?
I've seen the same system installed in a few 50s-60s military airplanes though.

With the cross hairs I think you are right. You align with your current position at start and then the map is calibrated to match the location.

Not a seatbelt in sight

Wasn’t this car also featured in one of the Dean Martin “Matt Helm” movies? A huge, inflatable tent popped out of the back.

Wow this would have been AWESOME and looks way ahead of its time!

Pedestrian's nightmare !
sirmrdrjnr@reddit
Looks like an American take on a Citroen ds (and also brings the styling through to the estate which Citroen kinda screwed up)
CybergothiChe@reddit
Ford Aurora? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localised entries within 1964?
N-cadherin@reddit
Wow I want one!
