PIL is so bad live. They were openers for a show in the late 80’s and it was terrible. As stated, he’s just a contrarian not anti anything. He’s a good critic, not a chef.

In Walter Lure’s memoir he talks about how Lydon changed during his time in the Pistols and basically started believing his own bullshit. His public persona became his actual personality. He’s basically stayed that way

Looks like a show to me. But I wouldn't pay money to watch any current adaptation of the 1) Sex Pistols, 2) Dead Kennedys, 3) The Misfits.

I'm going through a PIL phase currently. I read a music critic who basically called Johnny Lydon an asshole but said he was one of the best front men ever.
He does grab attention. I've always liked him, I have no idea why I'm supposed to be cancelling him. PIL is pretty woke and they are from the 90s.
