I live in Port St. Lucie, and this car meet that seems to rotate around was in one of the spots I frequent.

If you were in this meet, and a middle aged Uber driver pulls up to you in a Prius that is decked out with video games on oversized headrest monitors, what is your reaction when he pulls up and challenges you to Mario Kart?

I'm opening a barcade soon, and I'd sooner die than give up authenticity and form factor for an emulation box or PC running ROMs.

Playing Mario Kart 64 on an Xbox controller makes Baby Jesus cry.

There are plenty of game controllers you can use that aren't xbox style. There are some that are heavily influenced by NES pads, etc. You could even use a 3d printer to make fake consoles and cartridges. Most people aren't going to share your same appreciation for authentic hardware, and if it were mine I certainly wouldn't let them drink near it. Good luck on your barcade idea though

I play Mario kart.? Its the only polite thing to so. Hen I hustle him by losing a few times. Then suggest we play for tacos. Then I obliterate him and get free food.

Lol I'm a old stoner that loves tacos and played more then my fair share of Mario kart(im a wee bit of a try hard myself) so worst case. He dont wanna play for food and we just play. Best case I play and get free food. Both options are win win to me. Keeping in mind that those are the only options im thinking will happen. I could as another random redditer said. And end up getting kidnapped and having my organs harvested but I like to view the world more innocently then that. Also im a fairly large "mean" looking male so I dont think he'd try anything "sketchy"

And just as I was about to post this the stoner mind kicked in and the final option could be. He does play for food. Throws all the rounds, I get free food(that he poisoned/druged that incapacitats me and makes my "mean" looks null and void)and my organs get harvested. But let's not think about that.
