I was shaving at 13, with a full chest of hear at 15. The chest hair made me pretty self-conscious though, since I was the only one I knew who had any at that age. Turns out I come from a long line of hairy dudes.
Damn b! I didn't have to start shaving until the back half of my 20s. Still no chest hair, still unable to grow a beard or stache(if only because I hate the feeling of my unshaved face after 2 days)
I came from multiple generations of getting pregnant at 16/17. I remember being at my grandmother's 40th birthday party as a kid. So yeah, that can happen. (I broke the cycle by just never having kids)
Duran Duran. Wow. My parents definitely have no idea who that is. I don’t think they made it past the music of the early 70s. Then they suddenly started watching American Idol after the kids were off to college.
Boomers were largely not listening to 90s music in the 90s. When I was in the car with my dad, he almost exclusively listened to classic rock. CSN, Doobie Brothers, SRV, Hendrix, etc.
So while I was in college my sophomore year, one of my dorm friends got a girl pregnant. He was 18. When he was 39, his son got married at 20/21 years old. 9 months later, the son had twins. The twins are in elementary school now. The only way this really works is if an xennial had a kid at 15 and his or her kid had a child at 15. That grandchild would be up to age 19 now. The grandparent would be 49. Which would be very sad if someone so young had passed. If they were older, the grandparent would be Gen X, and up to age 60.

Ouch! This hurt my soul

Yes. I know the feeling. This is fucked up.

We are not old enough to have grandkids with facial hair
Unless someone had a kid at 15 and their kid had a kid at 15 and then that kid just started growing an almost full mustache at 15
But most of us didn't do that
Patient-Rich-8842@reddit
I did have a shitty stache by 15. Milk does the body good. Also this kid might be a giant. He said turntable and he makes that LP look like a CD. Lol
Betelgeuse3fold@reddit
I had an actual beard by 15. I started shaving the crustache at 13.
Funnily, I couldn't grow a good mustache until I was 25.

I'm like a nekkid baby mouse. And just as pink.

Gotta have those old Norse genes.
Men from the area between the black and captain seas tend to be hairy beasts too.

I still can't grow a good mustache. But my son is shaving at 14. Genes are weird.

Been watching this kid’s posts on instagram: whatsongrandpasturntable
Grandpa was born in ‘55
C001H4ndPuk3@reddit
Yeah, was just one of those rare boomers that actually kept listening to new music past like 1980. Gramps must have been pretty cool.
216news@reddit
Gramps would have been 37 when RATM was released. I'm almost a decade older and still buying new music, so I guess this is my future?
C001H4ndPuk3@reddit
Good for you! (serious, not sarcastic)
My mom was also born in 1955 and definitely was NOT listening to RATM lol. Nor anything else me and my cohort were into, that's for sure.
216news@reddit
Yeah my parents stopped with Duran Duran, I think. They pay thousands every year to see the same acts that they’ve been seeing for 40 years.

Same here. Except my mom was totally in 90s country and line dancing.

He called it a “record” twice then said “turntable.” However hip grandfather was he didn’t teach that kid properly
icybowler3442@reddit
Fuck you, I can’t remember what you told me
Corporate-Scum@reddit
But it’s a CD. “Record collection” means vinyl to us olds. This is a Columbia House collection. Grandpa got 10 CDs for $1!
Broad_Tie9383@reddit
Especially if you are saying "turntable" with it. That's to to be a literal vinyl record, lil bro. Don't tell me it's a record and hand me a CD.
Spare-Good-5372@reddit
Ok but the little shit also said "records" and proceeds to hold up a CD

I guess I'm going to be one of these grandparents, because I keep finding new bands and loving them?
