Oh man it runs deeper that just being made in China. It was founded by two Chinese national in Florida as a shell company front for Surpass, with Surpass being a child company a large Chinese defense company. On top of that, they received a 3 million dollar Chinese defense grant through this shell scheme.
They also infringed on patent rights Trijicon had, and then stole Sig IP when Sig contracted them out to make some of their entry level optics.
Classic tale of a Chinese company stealing IP and you can do a thing about it because there’s no international structure to handle things like that.

Yep. Speaking of which, I just got a response from Holosun. The first after two weeks. Got it at 8pm. When China wakes up. They made shit up and claimed I blocked them from accessing the site… I block all non US IPs since these are ITAR protected products.

Thats rough man. The thing that gets me is this: if they're selling units at profit, IMO they should take a sale, even if it's under MAP, as a win and let it go thru. I know they're trying to protect their margins, but... isn't it better to sell more units than fewer? There are always a few people for whom a $40 discount is significant. I'm personally in the process of outfitting a half dozen guns right now, I need a bunch of optics, and since Holosun want to act like this... I don't think they're going to get my business. I was already debating going EOTech, this just makes me remember why I've put their optics on my guns in the past. Unfortunately they're a little more pricey, so I have to space out purchases more... but come next payday, I already know I'll be buying an EXPS3-1 off you, assuming you still have them on sale.
