I still have one of those Zalmans somewhere. Beautiful!

These kids can keep their AIOs with wraparound screens on the CPU block. I just want this simple, elegant piece of fine engineering.

Very nice! These old builds are fun to piece together. Just finished mine a while ago, and it's really one of my favorites, perhaps even edging out my modern build.

Congratulations, nice spec for era 😎👍

I really really wanted a Q6600 at the time but no way I could afford it living paycheck to paycheck. Now they're $10 USD. 🤣

Yeah it's bonkers isn't it , have fun with you build it's awesome 😎

Btw I was at a physics course and the professor brought that cooler to us saying how such a design was performing bad at heat management (basically if wings are too thin you lose the further part of cooling surface). I have bought one btw because they are fancy (and with a 95W or lower TDP you should be fine anyway)

Oh for sure, there are naysayers out there who will nitpick the design. But Zalman wanted to create something that wasn't boring, and they succeeded for a while.

Is that a zalman cooler, or a clone? They were the bee's knees at the time. Quiet an efficient.

It's an authentic one (as far as I can tell) that I found on eBay. Both functional and beautiful. They don't make em like they used to.
