My brother and I used to watch this movie over and over and over again. We would laugh our asses off.
It took me years to remember what it was called, it almost seemed like a fever dream that never actually happened. I haven't seen it since I was a kid, I dare not lest I ruin the memories of my childhood. My brother passed of cancer at 29, so I like to keep the memory as it is.
Someone else must have watched this? Anyone see it within adulthood?

“Did you knock?” “No, I used unleaded.”

I don't understand that joke

Leaded gas made engines knock (or stop knocking? since the late 70s cars haven't really knocked). And was even worse for the environment

Oh ok, so a joke you only get if you were born around the same time as Groucho Marx lol
Schmitty300@reddit
I think it's actually: "How come you didn't knock?" "I use a better grade of gas". I've got this whole script memorized 😂

'Sorry, two's company, and three's and adult movie." Own this movie and watch it on the regular!

Any absolute slapstick gem. Such a crime that almost NO ONE has heard of it. John Turturro is brilliant and hilarious.

"Miss, these seats are dreadful. They're facing the stage."

"I got TWICE the sleep at a Julio Iglesias concert!"

Ok, that is actually a funny line...maybe it actually was good.

Never heard of it till I saw it posted in a similar sub this week.

It's still holds up. Same guy co-wrote the Naked Gun and Hot Shots movies.
As a huge Marx Brothers fan, it's a great tribute. AND...John Turturro is kind of incredible here.
worthy1@reddit
It is a “remake” of Night at the Opera, isn’t it?
NilsGuitarShop@reddit
More or less.

Never heard of it till just now

My brothers still talk about this classic.

Fellow brother bonding eh? We lost my brother suddenly, be sure to enjoy your time together!
Scrapla1@reddit
Saw it in theaters!

I had no idea it was in theaters, I have no idea how we got our copy. I remember it was kinda like a modern day three stooges, of sorts?

One of my favorite movies, basically the Marx Brothers but Groucho is John Turturro.
Fancy_Depth_4995@reddit
I thought I was the only one who ever saw this.
The opera scene is hysterical
Roobix9@reddit
My best friend in high school absolutely loved this movie

Absolutely I remember one of the guys making a wish and throwing a penny in a fountain then a hot girl walks by and the guy in the hat pulls a wad of money out and starts throwing dollars in the fountain
