This weekend we’ve dropped the price on our 7.5” 5.56 upper. Features 7.5” 5.56 nitrided barrel and billet 6061 Type 3 anodized upper. BCG and charging handle not included.

Dedicated uppers are usually more money. If you're just plinking within 100 yards, I don't see any problem using one of these.
Obviously though, use case matters. I just don't think the juice is worth the squeeze on a dedicated 22lr.

The jmac laf is pretty goddamn violent on short barrels. I have one on my krink and I can feel the concussion in my stomach. And that's an 8.4" barrel.

I have one of these, bought earlier this year for 20 bucks less, got it with the linear comp to make it a little less unpleasant at our indoor range. Still haven't even run it though I think I might run it tomorrow.

I’m getting 2450fps out of a 7.5” 5.56 barrel. Not ideal but not by any means unusable. Would be a good CQB setup.

Federal makes some 50gr varmint rounds I guesstimate at 2600 FPS, and they should provide good penetration and expansion at that velocity.

I bought one of their precision 16" AR upper/lower kits last year and the fit/finish was excellent. I cannot speak to these pistol uppers but I was really pleased with the quality of mine.
