Gifts for private pilots?

Hi! I assume this is relevant here because it is related to a pilot :)
My boyfriend just got his turbine rating on a Soloy in an EU country and is currently working on an IFR rating in the UK. His birthday is coming up and I'm trying to think of something cool for him.
He runs skydiving operations sometimes, is a skydiver himself, might take flying commercial in the future in the UK (flying over beautiful towns), hates Pipers (unfortunate for him since he's learning IFR in one lmao), likes Cessnas, is a maths and CS guy, and likes cute things like cats and... Mostly cats.
He has a radio which we use to listen to ATC sometimes when we go plane spotting, and a few little plane models of planes he likes, but besides that... I'm wondering what gifts would you appreciate as a pilot, and especially if you relate to his likes and dislikes above?

Depends on budget. An aerobatics lesson is something a lot of pilots would want to do but because it isn’t on the direct path to an airliner don’t get around to it
tinyboiii@reddit (OP)
Oh true!!! He did do a bit of aerobatics and really loved it; that is a great idea :)

Can recommend British Aero at Fowlmere.
CR00KANATOR@reddit
I got my dad an aerobatic flight as a retirement gift from his own flying career! He really enjoyed it!

Prepaid credit card to buy plane fuel.
fakemorisummerr@reddit
Maybe a nice watch if he likes watches, a Breitling?
gromm93@reddit
Cash. Lots and lots of cash.

Airplanes make the best gifts! A Cessna Caravan could come in handy!
Esoteric_Prurience@reddit
Nah - aim high with the Honda Jet.
TheMarineLayer@reddit
And keep aiming off the end of the runway
Happy-Tax1242@reddit
I thought it was supposed to be a gift
tinyboiii@reddit (OP)
Hahahaha I wish! He actually found a single-seater for 15k... As uni students I think that's a bit further in the future for us ;) when we have a house together and he has his own hangar lol
PleaseGreaseTheL@reddit
Yeah and it'll cost more than 15k per year to keep it usable too lol, smart choice holding off on that.
stickJ0ckey@reddit
House = liability, airplane = asset ✌️

A Leatherman type multitool will stay in his flight case for ever.
Get it engraved with wings and his name.
Due-Plankton-9172@reddit
Voce deveria da oculos escuros estilo top gun, e uma jaqueta de couro também caso ele ande de moto
Schwalbe262Guy@reddit
Me personally I just like receiving model airplanes… either ones I fly or ones I like. Or have flown etc. if you don’t know why to get the backup can always be buying a sword. Every guy wants a sword even if they don’t know it
tinyboiii@reddit (OP)
Lol yeah if someone got me a sword I'd be happy too :))
Weakness4Fleekness@reddit
Low budget: kneeboard or sunglasses Mid budget: headset or flight bag High budget: ipad
tinyboiii@reddit (OP)
Flight bag is a great idea thank you!!

A good watch

What about a map from your country/area of all the airports and that he can fill in where he's been. This is obviously not your area, but they do custom orders so maybe they would do one for your country. Or find something similar in your area.
Minnesota Airports Travel Map – 1331 Custom Decor & Goods https://share.google/AdqnD4lVhc74IfN7j
justarandomguy07@reddit
That looks cool. I have a sectional chart on my wall where I mark the airports I flew to with a sharpie. Yours looks way better
BrewingBitchcakes@reddit
I would probably use a sharpie myself, lol. But for unique gifts they are super cool. Just to be clear I do not make these nor have an affiliation with them, I just saw them and have given a few of them out as gifts.

My fiancee bought me a framed airport diagram where I did my first solo for Valentine's Day this year. It sounds like he's well beyond that point in training, but I think they do other milestones other than solos on this website. https://skybirdsupply.com/products/custom-first-solo-flight-framed-print

Dang
She’s a keeper dude
tinyboiii@reddit (OP)
aw that's so sweet :))) I will check it out. There are some airports and airfields dear to his heart that he does not diagrams of

From Amazon you can get rubber ducks that are wearing pilot uniforms.
Maybe get a sufficient quantity to replicate what happens in this video.
sailing_in_the_sky@reddit
Has he been up in a glider? If not a discovery flight in one might be appreciated.
tinyboiii@reddit (OP)
Oh yes, he has his licence for that as well : ) But perhaps something on a glider, e.g. glider aerobatics, would be fun too
Wemest@reddit
Get him the book “Fate is the Hunter” by Ernest Gann.
