Trying to sign up for as many free or pay-in-a-month services as possible to take advantage of this.

The way it works is you get sent a new card with the same number but a new expiration date. In order for people to not have to update their CC number with all their subscriptions every time a card expires, most of the time the CC company just auto updates the expiration date for the card on file.
You'll still be on the hook for everything you bought and your subscriptions will still continue to charge you. Please get some financial literacy education before you really fuck things up for yourself.

This sucks :/ thank you tho

you do know that even though your card expires, you still need to pay for any outstanding charges right

I think they’re thinking that after the month ends, that card will have expired and they’ll have a new card with a new number so any recurring charges that are made won’t go through. The issue is whether or not it’ll actually be a different number on the new card
BoozeIsTherapyRight@reddit
It won't be.

Even if you get a new number on a replacement card, subscriptions with the old number still draw from that account.

This question makes zero sense They will send a new card before the old one expires

When your card renews they just send you a new card with the same number... So it still works.

I mean, as long as you have the money to pay it all back, you could do a lot of things -- but your question seems to indicate you think you're off the hook in paying it when the expiration happens, which is absolutely not the case

Thats not how it works
