Three Days Grace was so much fun in concert! I finally got to see them last year with Breaking Benjamin. Riot had 45-year-old me jumping around like I was still in my twenties. The energy on stage was so great and the crowd was having a blast. My sister-in-law and I had so much fun she ended up getting us tickets to see them again this year.

I’m glad someone brought up Kendrick Lamar. I’ll admit I slept on him for a long time. I’ve had a hard time appreciating newer hip hop because it’s just not as good as what was coming out in the 90s. When you discover hip hop as the greats are laying their foundations it’s hard to accept that anyone is doing something to that caliber. Then “All the Stars” came out and I ate my words. Hania Rani -- Ghosts.

I was completely arrested and just blown away by her performance on KEXP. For the first time in years, I had to completely stop what I was doing (no 'second screen viewing' or staring at the phone or doing something else) just to immerse myself in the brilliance of this song. I replayed it about five or six times in a row upon first listen. That song gave me the same sensation of listening to Hurt by NIN or Nutshell by Alice in Chains for the first time. I'd forgotten what that sensation feels like. Stylistically, her music is a bit like Tangerine Dream with vocals. It's so hypnotic.
