Just bought audi from dealer, insurance informed me car previously had $20k damage payout. Can audi dealership pass off $20k damage as "minor" on carfax?

When I purchased the car, carfax said it was just minor damage, but a $20K repair payout seems to indicate much more severe damage. Is there any recourse i have? I feel this was a misrepresentation of the vehicle history.
