Yes for sure. And it is because of albanian organized crime. Which is prevelant in every EU country. I doubt they are known for that in the US tho. No one can compete with the cartels over there.
Between Albanians and Bosnian Muslims, yes I would say that they have a better reputation since most of them are not automatically linked to organized crime and drug trade. Albanians have much larger diaspora and are present in almost all of continents, while the Bosnian Muslims are present in Western Europe and the Americas and not a lot of people know that they actually exist.
That's a big difference of Balkaners from Turks. No Croat perceives Novak as a 'win' for them because he's half Croatian (many are happy for fellow Yugo guy who's nice to them), and obviously no Bosniak thinks Dua Lipa regarding her Bosniak origin
Where I live, everybody has a better reputation than Albanians who are here. Their nationality is typically followed by a second word spelled m-a-f-i-a
Yes, Albanians have bad reputation in both Europe and the Muslim world. Europeans think Albanians are tribal criminals and the Muslim world think they are Israel supporters.
While Bosniaks probably have among the best if not even the best reputation of all Muslim ethnicities both among westerners and the Muslim world.
Sneako the muslim larper enjoyed Bosnia a lot, it's one of his favorite countries. Albania he didn't enjoy at all. So in regard to that we Albanians had great success
In the muslim world our reputation is not that good even though we are a full member of Islamic Conference and Bosnia is not. We are probably the only European country part of such organisation, go figure. Even our stance toward Palestine has been in line with EU and we vote in favour of Palestine in the UN, yet we are probably seen as Israeli & US shills. We are not good with PR, i guess.
I mean they are less infamous.
To be honest, the vast majority of people in the UK would have no clue what a Bosniak is. If you said Bosnian muslim you might get some reaction, especially from people old enough to remember the Bosnian war.
Albanian on the other hand will always get a reaction.
At the end of the day, what would you rather; be gossiped about or unknown. 🤷♂️
