ULPT request: woman lying to her insurance company…

This crazy lady was speeding, ran her red light and my truck t-boned her. Unfortunately, no witnesses, I didn’t have a dash cam but I have a video and audio recording of her admitting fault. I’m fucked. Police never showed up so I had to file online and her insurance basically said it wasn’t “good enough.” Luckily, my insurance took my side but so did hers and now I can’t file a claim them for the stuff my insurance won’t cover. I’m paying my deductible but my truck has aftermarket parts (lift kit, winch is broken, suspension is fucked up, etc) and has been a pain in the ass to repair because it’s been going from one shop to another. My insurance company is trying to be as cheap as possible (State Farm). The coverage for my rental will expire soon and I’ll need to pay out of pocket for that too. This whole thing is a mess. I was just living my life and was 2 blocks away from home when this crazy bitch comes into my life. I’m gonna sue her. How can I make her life a living hell in the meantime? Oh, according to the address on her driver’s license, she lives 2 streets down..basically my neighbor lmfao 😂

I don’t know about traffic court but I think the burden of proof for civil cases is 51 percent. Pretty good odds. Sue her.

Take the recording to a lawyer and ask them to write a ‘letter before action’ stating your intention to sue the woman for damages and distress.
That you have her recorded admission of fault to present to a judge.
Unless she settles out of court for a sum which covers the truck repairs.

Sue her for a lot (don't forget pain and suffering). Bring the recording where she admits guilt.

Police reports don’t make a difference. The police did not see it happen and a report is just what they were told.
