This runs well on my 43x build. It also runs well on my G19.3 build with a Brownells slide with the top cut. Also seen it run well on a G34.3 with the top cut.

It doesn’t like Gen5 Glocks from my experience. I’ve even tried a Gen 5 Glock with a Radian single spring without luck.

It’ll run well on hammer fired pistols.

I like mine quite a bit. It’s definitely not the quietest, but it’s really nice lightweight can. Everything else just feels heavy after using the Canine II.

Tried using the original canine without a booster on my arex delta and p320 raider. P320 might FTE/FTF once in a range trip but the delta still fails ~50% of the time. Cool af on the raider especially once I get that new Halo SMG stock.

p320 works pretty great. 1 ftf/fte in a range day isnt awful IMO, its a bone stock p320 too.

The guy behind Ecco is possibly one of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to building suppressors, and how to optimize them for specific purposes.

He's been a major part of the form1 scene for a long time, and it's really cool to see him succeed in the commercial market.

If i ever buy a commercial can, odds are it will be one of his. Maybe if my lathe breaks.

I can vouch for Nick Bosco, the owner of ECCO Machine. I actually reached out to him directly about the differences between the original Canine and the new Canine II. Super transparent and knowledgeable guy.

For anyone curious, "the weight difference is tiny, only .2 ounces, or \~7%. The original Canine used all the same parts as TLX except blast chamber, which was very efficient for production, but the baffle cones were thicker than needed for the lighter-duty Canine that is not rated for high velocity rifle rounds anyway due to the smaller blast chamber, and further development showed us that one more baffle for a total of 7 with slightly tighter spacing to give the same OAL yielded better results, while 8 baffles with even tighter spacing was a step backwards. We’ll see at the 2026 Silencer Summit where it lines up exactly, but it’s a noticeable improvement of about 4 dBA dry on hammer fired hosts by our metrics. It is more difficult to discern a change on striker fired guns."

I bought the Canine last Black Friday after waiting all summer for their BF code (they were sold out during the 4th of July sale). A few days after I purchased it is when I noticed the Canine was no longer on their website, replaced now with the Canine II. I was a little irritated, I'd have just waited a bit more had I known the Canine would be replaced. Although I am using my Canine on a hammer gun primarily, this is a sweet suppressor, so it's hard to really be upset. Also Jerrica could not have been nicer during the post purchase and form 3 process. I figure I'll just buy the II later down the line lol.

Do you have a 1/2x28 threaded 226 barrel, or if not, what is your minting solution for the “standard” 13.5x1LH threads for the 226?

I have 226s that need suppression. I but I believe my barrel is 13.5x1LH ;I need to check that). Was looking at the SHIV with the 13.5 threads. Open to another booster less option.
