Do people really not realize that the Budapest Memorandum existed because Ukraine's constitution at the mandated Ukrainian neutrality, and that's why both the US and Russia agreed to defend Ukraine in case of attack. When Ukraine amended their constitution to make joining NATO a national priority, Ukrainian neutrality went out the window and with it everything that was based on that neutrality.

While he visited Ukraine perhaps he (“the prince” should have informed himself spoken out about why this was happening and issued a plea to both sides to respect each other’s rights and cultural heritages. There were two drafts agreements to resolve this war that were agreed upon by both sides but not implemented. There was a third draft agreement that the Ukrainians had already signed but were talked out of.
Hundreds of thousands dead later, here we are. Why?
