Depends, if you want an OS for personal use then wank yourself dry to this weeks linux version. If you have to use it for work then you better know windows. I spent so long making sure software worked in edge it just became my default browser. The one wankstain in every dev team that insists on using linux is shunned because he is always a twat.

The above post was larping linux 10+ years ago or they tried to install arch without reading.
Most everything is plug and play even on LTS distros like Mint and Ubuntu that take 6 months every update cycle.
There are still pain points with old / rare GPU's, USB wifi adapters, and some laptop peripherals, but they're pretty rare now.
If you're interested in Linux give Bazzite a try, It's feature parity with SteamOS. The OS is read only and you get a spare image at startup so it's practically impossible to brick your install. Comes with everything you need, all without touching a terminal prompt.

Don't blame Linux when you decided to install arch. Most normal distros like Ubuntu are plug and play for most computers.

True , used Mint and took like 5 hours to install warp client because my broadcom driver was in a later version , but uninstalling it mean mo wifi , every helping board provided a different solution with varying level of difficulty in installing.
