Is ceramic coating genuinely worth the cost compared to regular waxing for long-term paint health of your car?

Assuming that you pay someone to ceramic coat your car and you do the washing/waxing periodically yourself? In the short term, probably. Locally I can get a basic coating done for $200 which can last two years and only needs basic washes to maintain it, so that works out to be $100/year or about $8-9 a month. If you don’t have a place to wash and wax your car it’s likely to cost more than that each month if you do it once a month, not to factor how much your own labor costs.
Now if you’re talking about the more expensive stuff then honesty I am not sure. Personally I prefer to put the work in myself as that is part of the fun. But to each of his own.
