I’m 28 and work at in finance. Could I still become a jet fighter pilot?

I currently work at Goldman Sachs in Salt Lake City Utah and have no military training or experience. Could I make the jump now at my age, and if so, how would I go about it? I’m 5’8”, 155 pounds, and have good eyesight.

I did exactly this. Worked in aerospace, got my pilots license at 28, started applying to Air National Guard and AF Reserve units immediately. Hired at 30, flying fighters for the Guard now.
It is extremely competitive, but if you work for Goldman you have resources and understand what it’s like to work in a demanding environment. Get your PPL immediately, like in the next 4 months, and also immediately start prepping for the AFOQT and TBAS. Use www.bogidope.com as a guide, it spells out exactly how to do this.

A lot of negativity on reddit but here is the correct answer

Don't mean to discourage you but probably not.
You could head into commercial (airlines / CFI) if you can foot the bill for training which typically is north of $100k but if you have a quick look at the market you'll probably decide it's not worth it.
