What to do with truck tires

This lovely pair of tires came to a rest in my yard after smacking into the wall of my garage. Police dont have any reports of trucks missing tires. How do I get rid of these things?
OddScone@reddit
I would post them on fb mktplace and Craigslist. they search for them online.

How could a rig continue with out a set of duals? Especially with the brake drum?
Drag a spindle?
How good are the remaining brakes going to work???
That could cause some serious damage to everything it hit. Or kill somebody. Especially if moving at freeway speed....
Ok-Cantaloupe7472@reddit
Because there is still another axle. I know of a driver losing his duals he drove 15ish km and didnt noticed til her got out to check his wrappers
nortyflatz@reddit
Yeah, I guess so. I wasn't thinking of tandems. I pull fuel, so I'm used to singles (or super singles.)

I would have that wall inspected. Then call around to tow companies to find out who got who’s rig towed.

Dude a friend of mine had a car tire come flying off the interstate above them and slam into the side of her car, the damage looked like she'd been tboned by an actual car, was fuckin nuts
good thing nobody was around jesus christ...
Wildcatb@reddit
Bold of you to assume the driver stopped anywhere near there.
Ok-Cantaloupe7472@reddit
Bold to assume they even noticed
hera_the_destroyer@reddit
Ya. I should know better.

Yeah we live on a 45mph and it traveled at an angle about 400 feet through a number of yards.m before it hit. Got really lucky and only had to replace a couple of pieces of siding and wood backing board. Missed my electrical meter by 2 feet.
Gilgamesh2000000@reddit
Where are you located?
yogibear420@reddit (OP)
Chicago
WeDemAgs@reddit
I’d probably put them on a truck
Rusty08872@reddit
I put them at the end of my driveway. They disappear
bigearsforyears@reddit
throw them into the ocean
it is a safe and fun activity for the whole family!
scottiethegoonie@reddit
Got some good tread. These are $500+ each brand new.
im-not-a-fakebot@reddit
Idk about 500+ they usually range from 2-300
Medium-Big-4143@reddit
The tires are around $300 a piece new, looks like aluminum wheels which cost $150 each used. The hub and brake drum are junk and it’s not worth tearing them apart.
I’d put the whole mess up on marketplace for $400 or $500 and I bet it sells in a few days.
Full-Respect-8261@reddit
Drill holes in em and turn them into potato growers
sputnikatto@reddit
Post them on Craigslist. Easy $300.
thejp74@reddit
For sure!
jeyzur@reddit
Keep ‘em. Get a 12lb sledge hammer and workout with them.
CryptographerOk3679@reddit
The guy still had 16 wheels, may not have noticed
Environmental-Pear40@reddit
Scrap yard. Especially if you can get someone to break them down.
leadpoem@reddit
A lot of scrap yards will not take tires or will charge for them
Environmental-Pear40@reddit
Yeah, sawzall is how I used to get them off. Truck tires have a lot of uses especially for like outdoor type shit. Used to make benches, tables and planters.
LockportTrans@reddit
Gotta be $1000 worth of tires alone there
leadpoem@reddit
Totally almost new
leadpoem@reddit
Well they live up to there name "HIGH SPEED"
mctwiddle@reddit
thats two free tire swings and two free fire pits.
Wildcatb@reddit
Plus a forge or oil heater from the brake drum.
8ig8en@reddit
Ask your local tow company that pulls large trucks or a truck repair shop near you would probably love them.
its_my_third_dayhere@reddit
You can give them to any car junkyard yard for free, they might even pick it up for you if they feel so inclined
