ESA letter

I’m moving to an apartment in Texas and trying to figure out the ESA letter process.
I’m not currently seeing a therapist and my PCP doesn’t do ESA letters, so I’m a little confused on what people actually do in this situation. I have two cats for anxiety.
If anyone’s done this recently
How did you get your letter? Any recs for DFW area
Thanks

I get mine from an online company called US service animals. They also offer a bunch of shit you DON'T need but as long as you now you're looking for the letter and decline everything else you should be fine.
It cost 180 dollars for 3 cats, I've used them for 6 years now. They match you with an in state therapist who will call you and have a televisit.

You can go to a therapist on your insurance for about $30, let them know that your cats are important for your wellbeing and mental health. The dr will most likely write an ESA letter for you. Mine did it for $175 and included both of my cats. Not exactly cheap but definitely the cheaper option in the long run.

I’m sorry, sounds like you’ll need to find a doctor

Were you given an ESA letter previously? If you don't have a letter from a licensed healthcare provider, you don't have ESA animals. You have pets.
