What are some British songs that you would play in karaoke, pubs, or football stadiums, and that are more than two years old?

I've heard a lot of English songs, but to be honest, I don't know which ones are considered classic British songs. Could you recommend some British songs that are often heard in bars, karaoke rooms, or football stadiums?

Amazing as they had a 500 mile walk to get there. And then another 500 more.

I was at a birthday party the other week and the DJ called Mr Brightside "Something a bit more modern" - it's 22yrs old, but technically it was more modern than The Jam and some of the other stuff that had come before it

I can offer one that always comes out at drunk karaoke and/weddings: Angels by Robbie Williams
DAD_songs_in_BIO@reddit
I love playing this one on piano
I would say it's more of a funeral song though?
TheGeordieGal@reddit
Only ever heard it at weddings (in the party bit - not a service anywhere). I wouldn’t describe it as a funeral song at all though but everyone can play what they want where.

It's a really good song, I'm listening to it right now.

I saw Robbie live last year and you couldn’t even hear him singing the song over the whole stadium lol. Was a fun moment.

I think it would be quicker to ask us to name songs that are less than 2 years old
kilgore_trout1@reddit
You've just made me realise that I don't think I know any songs that are less that 2 years old apart from the one about the Pink Pony Club.
