I rememebr asking for the van, but got the micro machine battery instead. Who thought it would be fun to play with a battery, man?
When my fat cousin Anthony laughed at my dejection, I reacted, violently, and broke his glasses. After I got my toys back from my parents, I played with that stupid battery all the time.
The van was gas city, tho.

My fondest micro machines memory isn’t as much the toy itself, as it was the game for Nintendo. My brother and I spent countless hours playing that.

I loved that game! The pool table level was my favorite!

I always found the boat level the hardest although I loved that level.

I....know the words and melody to this commercial? Huh. Ask me my mother's birthday and I have to give a three day range. Show me a 33 year old micro machines commerical? Hello, old friend. Apparently.

I still have all my micro machines out in the garage in the semi truck face case.

Of course no mention of Micro Machines is complete without a nod to John "Motormouth" Moschitta Jr.

Wait a minute… he’s supposed to be in this commercial! The kid asks, “Is this the van to super van city?” And John is sitting in the driver seat of the van saying something like “yep.” I had no idea they did a version without him. Kind of sucks, to be honest.

I had the Micro Machines tool box play set, that unfolder into a little San Fran type city. I think Micro Machines are what developed my love of "Tiny things" like I adore zooming in and looking at the details in Sim City, or City Skylines.
Also the Genesis Micro Machines racing game was fantastic, and fostered my love of playing games where *You* are tiny, such as Toy Commander for Dreamcast, or "Gulliver's Travels" maps in Duke Nukem 3d.

I was an absolute fiend for Micro Machines. The military vehicles and sets were my favorites, still have some of them hanging around.

Welp, decades old memory unlocked.

I loved Micro Machines. I never had that one. I have three remaining today, one from my very first 1988 set.
