solid build, the only thing you would (unfortunately) regret, would be the ram. 16gb today is just simply not enough with the system youre running, playing the games you want to play. unfortunately not a matter of hardware, just devs getting lazy (dont quote me). id advise 2x16, though on am4 platforms you would be able to get away with 2x2x8.

Ram is fine. As long as he doesn't use other apps with heavy AAA titles

AAA titles with discord maybe.

Montech Century II is $89, ten year warranty modular gold.
Killacreeper@reddit
Is it good/reliable? That sounds like a fantastic deal depending on wattage
ICastCats@reddit
It reviews well, 850W, and ten year warranty should indicate it’s reliable.

I'm now annoyed I didn't know about this in the past, is that newer/not on pcpartpicker? (Like last couple years)
ICastCats@reddit
I've only seen it on PCPP this year.

Thank you for this! I will replace the psu with this!

32GB of RAM and you should be good to go.
Even-Act-85@reddit
Try to get 24gb of ram if you can, its a sweet spot imo

Case has a USB C front panel port but the motherboard is cheap and doesn't have a USB-C header. If you build this PC you will have a useless USB-C front panel port on your case.

I understand now, thank you for pointing that out. What motherboard could I purchase instead of this?
OldOne999@reddit
This motherboard is an ATX motherboard and has a USB-C header and has wifi:

This is pretty close to my build that I currently have only difference is I’m on 32 gb of ram. I used this build for 1440p since 2021 and it was solid up until the last year where the 3070’s 8 gb of vram just wasn’t enough for 1440p so I’m in the process of upgrading my gpu to a 9070xt. That said this build should be pretty solid for 1080p! Just know that if you decide to upgrade down the road to a 1440p setup the vram on the 3070 could be a problem but definitely a great build for 1080p nice picks!
mincemuncher@reddit
Ram maybe. Your PC is still good for 1080p gaming.
sopcannon@reddit
maybe double the ram if its in budget.
GeassAye@reddit
16gb of ram is fine if it's just for gaming. If he decides to multitask, then that's when OP should get more ram
