Long story short it seems like they want to charge me 10% restocking fee on an order that was placed and cancelled within 30 seconds due to a technical glitch on their website.

Do you expect ethical behavior from a company whose (almost) entire sales model relies on its customers breaking the law?
Ghostjwm12@reddit
I live in NJ have my Wired insured and registered along with my Philodo, Aipas, Lectric and Heybike so how are they breaking the law?
Inciteful_Analysis@reddit
You are one person.
Ghostjwm12@reddit
Yea I am one person and I don't know anyone who isn't one person lol. if you had a bad experience post details so that other potential customers can learn from it instead of just a blanket general comment. I posted my experience which was positive and I know alot of people have had similar positive experiences with Wired. I also have read peoples comments who have had negative experiences which were valid but by far I have seen a large majority of positives which is why I bought one.

You are struggling to understand something very simple. Wired sells electric motorcycles under the deceptive name of ebikes. Legally they are not considered ebikes in almost every state. Wired sales model heavily depends on its customers ignoring the law and riding these e-motos on public roads.
Ghostjwm12@reddit
Not struggling to understand anything and mine is legal in my state. You personally keep stating negative opinions without ever listing details of your personal experiences. What ebikes do you own what bad experience with Wired did you have.
Inciteful_Analysis@reddit
Yeah, you are struggling to understand. These Wired e-motos are illegal on public roads in most states even if not in NJ.
This has nothing to do with what ebikes or e-motos I own.

Also original poster you shoul be aware refunds even from Amazon can take a few weeks. Call Wired asked the status. You can also go to the Wired facebook pages and post therre as they are very helpful.

Yes I would be contacting your credit card company for sure. If the item wasn’t ever even shipped there’s no reason for a restocking fee.
Tabbbinski@reddit
What jurisdiction do you live in? There's probably legislation covering a 24 - 72 hour cooling off period for all sales. If so, file a complaint with your credit card company citing that. You'll get your money back. Then piss all over the company every chance you get.

ky, i think so, its been 5 days and i havent got refund yet and they keep emailing me saying 10% restock fee, wtf? on a 4k bike thats 300-400$ for what one click?
Ghostjwm12@reddit
Did you call them or just email?
BodSmith54321@reddit
Dispute it with your credit card company.
TitaniumKneecap@reddit
Wired is a shit company
Ghostjwm12@reddit
Lol what ebike company isn't in your opinion?
TitaniumKneecap@reddit
Every company on the planet is garbage to an extent, but some are substantially worse than others. Wired is one of those.
Ghostjwm12@reddit
Do you own a Wired ebike? Just curious because I agree that most companies are not really great but depends on each person's own experience. I personally love my Wired ebike so my own experience has been positive. Did you have a bad experience with your Wired ebike?
TopCourage11@reddit
That’s total bullshit!! I bought a Wired Cruiser and have had some issues with the bike that aren’t covered by the warranty!!! My gear shifter and derailer showed up fucked up now I have to go out of pocket to repair someone’s fuck up. I paid $75.00 for the shipping insurance, what that’s all about is beyond me??
I too will report back as to if they make good on it.
Frustration abounds as I really want to like the bike but am now skeptical as to CS.
I get the feeling that I’m on my own.
Ghostjwm12@reddit
Have a Wired Scout and their service has been very good. Also how are they charging a restocking fee for a bike that hasn't been shipped yet if you cancelled it 30 secs later?
TopCourage11@reddit
What problems did you have with your bike that makes you feel this way about CS??
Ghostjwm12@reddit
Had a bent derailer on delivery they quickly shipped a replacement. Also I preordered my Scout and tbey were always responsive when I contacted them about shipping and delivery. I own 5 ebikes from Lectric, Philodo, Heybike, Aipas, and Wired and all are good bikes but having someone who speaks english and is based in the USA made my experience better for me. Communicating with some of the other companies was a little challenging.
