Jeff Alvis Checkride

I am going to have my instrument checkride with Jeff Alvis in the next couple of weeks. Any thoughts/advice I should have going into it? I’ve heard he’s a fair DPE but not much else. Anything helps. Thanks!

He is exactly what a DPE should be. I did my instrument and com with him. He's very professional and he is very clear on what he wants to see from you. He will hold you accountable within ACS standards, no grace there unless there is an actual good reason.
He is very thorough, flight portion could range between 2-3 hours. He will go through everything in the acs. As long as you fly well and make good decisions, you'll do fine.
Overall he is my favorite DPE. He doesn't look for perfection and he doesn't have any crazy standards other than the acs. He doesn't answer any unreasonable questions durring the oral too.
From the time of your post I think I know what flight school you go to...
